Serve as a catalyst for private support from alumni and friends of Indiana University for the largest academic unit on Indiana Universityâs flagship campus. Responsible for major gift fundraising for the Indiana University College of Arts and Sciences, with a geographic focus in the New York City, Houston, Denver, and Chicago metro areas, as well as the state of Indiana and other states nationwide. Establish and maintain relationships with donors and alumni on behalf of IU and the College. Engage in donor-driven philanthropy with a focus on meshing donor interests with the needs and priorities of the College and the university. Write gift proposals and agreements for major gift and planned gift solicitations ($50,000+), and work with donors on outright and pledged gifts, gifts of stock, real estate, and other property, charitable trusts and annuities. Work to create opportunities for meaningful engagement with the College and its academic departments through service on advisory boards, attendance at events, participation as guest speakers, meetings with faculty members and the Dean, and interaction with current students.
